A setback is a
starting point—
not a verdict.
From a first grader learning to count to a college student recovering after a difficult organic chemistry midterm, I identify what is holding the learner back, build a focused plan, and stay accountable to the goal.

Choose the support.
Lock in the time.
Reserve a standard-rate session immediately. Availability refreshes live, and the complete 45-minute session price is shown before you confirm.
Four-session plan5% savings after the first-session fit is confirmed.
Academic integrityProjects and papers receive instruction, planning, and editing—not work completed for the student.
Checking the live calendar…
Remote prepayment is being connected. Online booking will open as soon as the secure Square account is linked; in-person sessions can still be reserved with payment at the start.
A strong plan—with a rate your household can manage.
Reduced-rate requests are reviewed privately and do not reserve a calendar opening until the rate and time are confirmed.
Private by design. Do not upload financial records here. If a reduced rate appears appropriate, you will be asked privately for redacted proof—never a Social Security number or bank-account number.
Your goal becomes
the plan.
When a student is behind, overwhelmed, or aiming higher, the answer is not more of the same. I find the obstacle, teach the missing skills in a way that makes sense, and build momentum that carries beyond the next assignment.
The standard is genuine understanding, stronger independent performance, and visible movement toward the grade, score, skill, or confidence the student needs.
Diagnose before drilling
We identify the concept gap, habit, or confidence barrier before deciding what to practice.
Teach for independence
The goal is not to copy an answer. It is to understand, apply, and eventually work without me.
Stay accountable to progress
Every session has a purpose. Every plan can change. The outcome always stays visible.
Progress is built.
Not hoped for.
A repeatable structure keeps each session connected to the larger goal—while leaving room to adapt to the learner in front of me.
- 01AssessmentClarity
Find the real problem.
Map the current level, missing foundations, course demands, habits, and deadline.
- 02PlanDirection
Choose the highest-impact work.
Turn the goal into clear priorities, session targets, and purposeful practice.
- 03InstructionMastery
Teach until it can be applied.
Explain, model, question, practice, and revisit until the student can reason independently.
- 04CheckpointsMomentum
Measure, learn, and adapt.
Use work quality, practice results, classroom feedback, and assessments to guide what comes next.
The challenge changes.
The commitment does not.
Different ages require different tools. The constant is a calm assessment, a focused plan, and instruction that keeps adapting until the learner can move forward.
When a first grader says,
“I can't.”
Avoiding numbers may look like unwillingness, but it can signal overwhelm, discouragement, or a missing earlier building block.
- Start
- Work below the frustration line with concrete objects, movement, games, and short wins.
- Build
- Connect quantity, number words, and written symbols until counting has meaning.
- Goal
- Independent counting, a clear way to begin, and confidence earned through real success.
When the first organic chemistry
midterm goes badly.
One difficult exam can make the whole course feel impossible. Instead of panic, we turn the result into useful information.
- Start
- Analyze missed questions and identify the concept, reasoning, and preparation gaps.
- Build
- Develop mechanism-based reasoning and practice exam-style problems under realistic conditions.
- Goal
- A stronger problem-solving system, better preparation, and a concrete plan for the next exam.
Expert support,
matched to the goal.

Mastery creates the standard. Adaptability makes the teaching work.
A scholar's standard.
A teacher's patience.
I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in biochemistry with a 4.0 GPA, summa cum laude and with honors, and completed a published thesis.
That record reflects the discipline and subject mastery I bring to every engagement. My tutoring experience taught me the equally important skill: how to reach the person in front of me.
I have worked with learners from kindergarten through college—from children who were discouraged or missing foundational skills to high-school students preparing for major exams, college students navigating demanding science courses, and adults learning computers or code.
Clear explanations. High expectations. No shame in needing a different way in.
What you can expect
from every engagement.
- 01An honest starting-point assessment
- 02Clear priorities for every session
- 03Instruction adapted in real time
- 04Practice selected for a purpose
- 05Progress checked against the actual goal
Before we begin.
The first conversation should create clarity—not pressure.
01Can you guarantee a specific grade or test score?+
No honest tutor can control a teacher, exam, or every decision a student makes. What I do promise is a serious assessment, a plan built around the real goal, prepared and individualized sessions, visible checkpoints, and instruction that changes when something is not working.
02What if the student is far behind or has lost confidence?+
That is exactly when careful tutoring matters most. We begin below the frustration line, identify the missing building blocks, and create achievable wins without lowering the standard. Confidence grows from understanding and doing—not from empty reassurance.
03Can you help after a bad college exam?+
Yes, when the course fits my academic background. We use the exam as a diagnostic: analyze error patterns, identify concept gaps, change the study process, and prepare deliberately for the next assessment instead of simply rereading the same material.
04How do you confirm an advanced course is a fit?+
Send the course title, syllabus or topic list, current standing, and goal. I compare the request with coursework I personally completed with top marks and give you a direct answer before we begin.
05Do you teach adults as well as students?+
Yes. Computer fundamentals, coding, and programming instruction are available for adults as well as kids and teens. The pace, examples, and projects are adapted to the learner’s starting point and reason for learning.
06When is payment due, and can I pay in cash?+
Remote appointments require prepayment through secure online checkout; if checkout is temporarily unavailable, remote booking pauses rather than accepting an unpaid appointment. For in-person tutoring, cash is accepted at the start of the session, and card or online options appear when the secure payment connection is available.
Bring me the challenge.
We'll build the way forward.
Tell me where the student is now, what is not working, and what success needs to look like. I'll use that context to assess the fit and recommend the next step.
- No-pressure initial consultation
- Honest course and subject fit
- Clear recommendation before you commit
